Stress Reduction through iRest®

iRest is an evidence-based meditation protocol that helps build resiliency and resolve stress-related disorders such as PTSD, sleep disorders, anxiety and depression as well as addictions. Developed by psychologist and yoga scholar Dr. Richard Miller, iRest is a secular approach to mind-body wellbeing which includes a contemporary practice of yoga Nidra.

  • Learn the basic principles of iRest and experience a number of the meditative practices that form part of the iRest protocol.

Leigh has practiced yoga and meditation since 1968 and was the Founder of the Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy Leigh is often described as the ‘father of yoga therapy in Australia’ and is a sought-after presenter nationally and internationally. He is an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, Certified iRest® Teacher and certification supervisor and has over 40 years’ experience as a Yoga and meditation teacher. He has served on IAYT Standards, Accreditation and Certification Committees and is a past-president of Yoga Australia. Leigh is passionate about sharing the non-dual teachings that underpin iRest® and is the Associate Director–Australasia for the iRest Institute. His teachers have included: Sri Yogendra, Swami Gitananda, A.G. Mohan and Dr. Richard Miller.
